1 Day 1: Out / Lima

Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at your leisure.

2 Day 2: Lima

Breakfast. You will have a guided tour that includes visits to the main Colonial attractions such as the Main Square with the Cathedral, San Francisco Convent and many elegant buildings with their traditional wooden balconies which are now being restored. Afterwards you will visit Lima’s residential areas: San Isidro with its Olive Grove, Country Club and Golf course and Miraflores with its Central Park, City Hall and Main shopping streets such as Larco Avenue.

3 Day 3: Lima / Iquitos

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Fly to Iquitos. Afterwards, we will take you to the Bellavista Port, where we will use one of our speedboats to take you to your selected lodge. During this boat ride you will have the opportunity to observe the convergence of the brown turbid waters of the Amazon River with the dark waters of the Nanay River. A visit to a native community is also scheduled in this part of the boat ride to the Lodge. In this community we will have the opportunity to hear about their way of life and to see their customs, dances and handcrafts. Arrival to the lodge where our staff will welcome you with a complimentary exotic jungle drink. Lunch.

In the afternoon we will start with our first excursion: a jungle hike into the Yanamono Reserve, which is a primary rainforest reserve, for approximately 2 hours accompanied by our expert guides. They will be able to identify several botanical species such as heliconia flowers, medicinal plants and giant trees. Return to the lodge to rest. Free time. After observing the Amazon Sunset, we will take a night boat ride to a stream, if the river is high enough, or along the Amazon River where you will enjoy the magical sounds of the jungle, moonlight and, if it is a clear night, you will see stars and constellations.

Dinner.

4 Day 4: Iquitos

Early birdwatching. We will start very early traveling by boat to one of the several streams (if the water level allows us ). We will be looking for birds. Return to the lodge, where a delicious breakfast will be waiting for you.

After a little rest we will take a small fishing trip into small tributaries of the Amazon River. The most daring can try for fishing Piranhas. During this excursion you can also have the opportunity to look for the famous Pink River Dolphin. Return to the Lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will also be able to see the very impressive giant Victoria Regia plant on the lakes inside the YanamonoIsland (if the water allows). At night the adventurers can take a hike around the perimeter of the Lodge to look for tarantulas, fire flies, bats and other jungle nocturnal animals.

Dinner.

5 Day 5: Iuitos / Lima

After breakfast, we will visit a rustic sugar cane distillery where you can try different exotic beverages made from sugar cane liquor and also you will see how horses are used in the process of obtaining this liquor.

Return to the Lodge. After Lunch, transfer to IquitosCity and according to your flight schedule, transfer to the airport. Fly to Lima. Reception and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight.

6 Day 6: Lima / Cusco

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, reception and transfer to the Hotel. Welcome Coca tea. Free time to adjust to the altitude. In the afternoon enjoy a tour of Cusco, the former capital city of the four regions that formed the Inca Empire. The tour includes highlights of the Colonial city such as the Cathedral, the Q’oricancha - an amazing example of the fusion of Incan and Western cultures that was one of the most important temples in the Empire of Incas - the Plaza de Armas and visit to the Inca ruins of Tambomachay, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Sacsayhuaman’s gigantic zigzag-walled fortress. Overnight.

7 Day 7: Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco /

Breakfast. We set off by train for Machu Picchu. The train passes through the Sacred Valley. The single line track hugs the right side of the canyon next to the boulder-strewn, roaring Urubamba River. Arrival at the small town of AguasCalientes, and finally a 30-minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu, an Inca city with a maze of fine stone temples, houses and fountains, is spectacularly situated on a ridge between two peaks. It was hidden by dense vegetation when Hiram Bingham discovered it in 1911. We include a guided tour. In the afternoon lunch and return to Cusco by train. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight.

8 Day 8: Cusco / Puno

Breakfast. Transfer to the bus station. We take an all-day bus from Cusco to Puno. The route is scenically stunning, and there are stops at cultural sites such as Pikillaqta, the baroque church at Andahuaylillas, the Temple to Viracocha at Racqchi. Lunch at Sicuani. The bus climbs to the high pass of La Raya, at 4,200 meters, from here the scenery changes dramatically.

Arrival in Puno, reception and transfer to the hotel. Welcome Coca tea. Acclimatization. Overnight.

9 Day 9: Puno / Lake Titicaca / Lima

Breakfast. In the morning we take a short boat ride to visit the UrosIslands, the famous floating reed islands of LakeTitacaca. A unique feature of this part of the lake is the traditional settlement of Uros people on floating islands made entirely of reeds-the same material they use to build their canoes. The islanders also use totora reeds to make boats, and even as food. Although fishing is still an important activity, nowadays the inhabitants earn their living mainly through selling handicrafts to tourists. Transfer to the airport in Juliaca to board your flight back to Lima. En route, you’ll visit Sillustani- giant funeral towers used during pre- and Inca times to bury the wealthy which overlook alpaca pastures and the tranquil lagoon of Umayo. Arrival in Lima, meeting and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

10 Day 10: Lima / Ica / Nazca / Paracas

Breakfast. Transfer to the bus station to board the Royal Class bus to Ica. We will travel south along the Pan-American Highway for four-and-a-half hours.

Transfer to the airport in Ica city for your flight over the famous and mysterious Nazca Lines and Geogliphs. It is only possible to admire these enigmatic pre-Inca figures from the air. The purpose for which these animal, humanoid and geometric drawings were made is still unknown. Lunch.

Later on we will visit the Huacachina lagoon, a beautiful oasis surrounded by big sand dunes.

Transfer until arrival to your hotel located on ParacasBay (1 hour ride).

11 Day 11: Paracas / Lima

Breakfast. At 8:00 AM after breakfast at the hotel, depart for the 2-hour boat excursion to the BallestasIslands. The islands are located 20 km. from the coast and are part of the Paracas National Reserve. On the way to the islands, we will observe the “Candelabra”, an enormous drawing in one of the biggest dunes of the reserve that was probably made by the ancient Incas. Once at the BallestasIslands we’ll see fauna in their natural habitat, including sea lions, Humboldt penguins and various bird species. Return to Lima by bus (3,5 hours ride). Arrival in Lima and transfer to your hotel.

12 Day 12: Lima / Out

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to board your next international flight.
