Day 1: Kuching
Arrive in Kuching and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Kuching
Enjoy a half day tour of Kuching’s charming colonial centre. The afternoon is free for you to explore or relax before transferring to the waterfront for a sunset river cruise.

Day 3: Semenggoh Wildlife Centre & Sarawak Cultural Village
Visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre in time for the morning feeding session of the orangutans. After lunch, visit the Sarawak Cultural Village for an insight into Sarawak’s many ethnic tribes.

Day 4: Bako NP
Drive to the village of Bako for a short boat ride into Bako National Park. The park’s many trails offer excellent wildlife spotting opportunities. Enjoy a simple lunch at the park café before returning to Kuching in the afternoon.

Day 5: Kuching to Kota Kinabalu
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Kota Kinabalu where you will enjoy a short city tour before checking in at your hotel.

Day 6: Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Springs
Drive to Kinabalu Park and explore one of the many jungle trails before visiting the mountain gardens. After lunch, continue to Poring Hot Springs for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest from a suspended canopy walkway.

Day 7: Kota Kinabalu to Kinabatangan River
Fly to Sandakan and transfer to the orangutan sanctuary at Sepilok to learn more about the ongoing rehabilitation of these amazing creatures. After an early lunch, continue to the Kinabatangan River for a late afternoon cruise in search of wildlife.

Day 8: Kinabatangan River
Enjoy a sunrise boat trip to experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest coming to life. After breakfast at the lodge, there is an opportunity to visit a nearby village. The afternoon is at leisure before a late afternoon river cruise in search of more wildlife.

Day 9: Kinabatangan River to Kota Kinabalu
After 2 early mornings, today you can relax over a leisurely breakfast before departing for Sandakan stopping en route at the Gomantong Caves, famous for the birds’ nests used by the Chinese in their soup. Continue to Sandakan airport for your return flight to Kota Kinabalu.

Day 10: Sapi & Manukan Islands
A short boat ride brings you to 2 of the smaller islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. Relax on the beach or perhaps try one of the many watersports that can be arranged locally.

Day 11: Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
